Michael Jackson Biography: Facts, Childhood, Family Life

Michael Jackson was one of the most popular singers in the world. He was known for the king of dancing, talent, and for his songs. Michael Jackson had many different hits like ¨Man in the Mirror, ” Billie Jean”, ¨Thriller¨, ¨Beat it ¨, and ¨Smooth criminal.¨ Also, he had sold over 750 million albums. He was so famous from the beginning to the end of his lifetime. So many people loved him, and his music. He was such a popular guy.
Some people might think that Michael Jackson’s childhood was like any other but really his childhood was full of abuse. Michael Jackson was born in Gary, India on August 29, 1958, and day by day he would get abused by his father. Most of the day 5 out of the nine kids would get abused because they were apart of a famous group called the Jackson 5. Michael Jackson didn’t have friends when he was little, his friends were his older brother. Instead of Michael Jackson playing outside he would be stuck inside recording music or he would have to prepare for an upcoming show. When Michael Jackson would mess up while he was practicing his dad would be standing right by him with a belt in his hand. This was pretty much Michael Jackson’s childhood.
As Michael Jackson started to grow up he started to get more and more famous than he was. In 1971-1972 he started to go solo in his career. His singles “Got to Be There,” “Rockin’ Robin” and “I Wanna Be Where You Are” were now in the charts. In 1978 Jackson starred as a scarecrow in the movie ¨The Wiz. ¨ The Wiz was a retelling of the Wizard of Oz. In 1979 Jackson records ¨Off the wall ¨his first solo album. His singles “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” and “Rock With You” both shot to the number-one hits. In 1980 he got his first Germany award for Best R;B Male Vocal Performance. Overall he was very successful in his life with his albums and everything else.

As many people know Michael Jackson has changed part of his whole life by changing his skin tone. He was diagnosed with Vitiligo and Lupus after he was burned in the Pepsi commercial in 1984. He didn’t want to have spots on him so he decided to change his skin tone to white. Also as he started to make more songs his spots were becoming lighter and lighter. Also, he would wear a glove on one of his hands because he had a big spot on his hand. Overall so no one really knows exactly why Michael Jackson changed his skin tone. Many people believe it was because of his disease vitiligo or other things.
Michael Jackson had many different albums and most of the albums that he made were very popular. Michael Jackson had over 750 million albums. One of his most popular albums were “Thriller”. This one was most popular because of the dance moves that he had done. Michael Jackson was also in 13 movies. Some of these movies were “The Wiz”, ” Captain EO,” ” Miss Castaway ” and so many more. As he made more and more songs or albums he became more and more famous.
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009. He died because of cardiac arrest. He died in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, CA. Michael Jackson lived to 50 years old. He lived from 1958 to 2009. He had also died because of many medications in his system. Some of the medication he used was to help him sleep. In the article washingtonpost.com, it states, “Murray left a heavily drugged Jackson alone in his bedroom and the moment Jackson arrived on a gurney at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he would be pronounced dead a short time later.” This shows that there were many different ways that Michael Jackson died.
After Michael Jackson’s death, his children were placed in the care of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, as dictated in his will.
In conclusion, Michael was a very good guy and everyone loved him. He was so famous and didn’t let that go. When Michael Passed everyone was so sad and there was no more entertainment by him. Now there was no more King of pop who had the dance moves and the talent. He was not only famous for his songs and dance moves he was also famous for being in 13 movies. He never gave up on his music and kept going. Just because he had a skin disease called vitiligo that did not stop him from being who he is. Overall Michael Jackson was such a good guy.
