Strategic investment decision making indicates the process of identifying, evaluating, and selecting among projects which are more likely to have significant effect on the organization’s competitive advantage. So it is a process of converting future earnings into today’s money. Future cash flows are discounted to demonstrate their present values and determine the value of the project.
