You have explored the Cerritos College campus website, discovered some of the student programs and services which are available, and thought about how these programs and services might help you to achieve your personal and academic goals.
Writing Directions:
Review the notes you took during the virtual campus tour.  Write a five-paragraph essay about one specific student program or service, and argue how/why this specific program or service can help students to achieve their goals.
After conducting some form of prewriting, name the student program or service, and state two or three specific ways in which this program or service can help students to achieve their goals.
Criteria for Evaluation:
I will be looking for:
           An engaging introduction which includes the thesis statement;
A strong thesis statement which meets all criteria for a successful thesis, stating specifically what student program or service you are discussing, and three specific ways in which this program or service can help students to achieve their goals;
Concrete and specific details and examples in body paragraphs to show how/why this program or service can help students to achieve their goals;
A conclusion that begins with a restatement of the thesis and brings the essay to a graceful close.
