In order to have a well-functioning marketplace, there needs to be numerous buyers and sellers. Marketplaces facilitate an efficient movement of goods and services within an economy. Government intervention is sometimes warranted to assist in a well-functioning marketplace.
For your writing assignment write a short response paper to the question: “What should the role of government be in restricting the market?” Since this writing will in part be based on your opinion, you will need to investigate the opposing side of your opinion. You should discuss the benefits and costs of the role government plays in the marketplace.
