Article Summary
The main goal of this paper is to provide an article summary about Coca Cola. The article that would be summarised is entitled “Campaign to Hold Coca-Cola Accountable: Coca-Cola Crisis in India”. The main focus of the article is to provide details on how the general public, other businesses and groups attempts to make Coca-Cola be responsible for the problems and issues the company faced in the country.  Herein, the article have mentioned the problems that challenge the management of the company and these problems are mostly attributed to environmental issues and conflicts, specifically in water shortages, water pollution and toxic waste. Since Coca Cola operation needs more water to sustain their production process, they have used much water than necessary which leads to water shortages among residents of the country. In addition, Coca Cola has also been accused on providing their toxic waste to farmers to be used as fertilized.  In addition, this article also provides insights on how Coca Cola affects and destroys the lives, livelihood and communities of the people in India.
This article also provides details on the struggles of the management of Coca Cola in terms of the malpractices of their business operations and this can be seen on the different lawsuits facing the company in various areas of India. Having been able to recognize the needs for a strategic management approach to handle the problems of Coca Cola with its operations in India, the article discussed how the company attempted to solve it through the use of perfect relations.
