According to A. Plencher  ( 2014) Critical thinking has been important since the very beginning of looking for answers. Critical thinking is to think rationally and understanding the connections. Being able to change your opinions according to the facts and also gain more objectivity and competence in understanding. Critical thinking is also recognizing facts over opinions and recognizing bias , determining  relevance and identification
The first article I found Is Refugees and Asylees in the United States ( J Zong , J Batalova 2015)
This article talks about how The United States is the top place for refugees to settle. This article gives you a clear understanding of what a Refugee is and what a asylee is. It gives you prior information and DATA to show the reader how the refugee crisis has grown over the years and how many people are entering the United States and how many people are still waiting to have approval to enter into the United States. The article also uses history in the article to talk about the Refugee Act of 1980 and the UN Refugee Convention. The  authors  are  using critical thinking skills because they are using facts through DATA and History the authors are not showing in bias on the issue just stating facts .

The article talks about how bad the Syrian Crisis is and how many people are suffering from this crisis. The article has some facts in it but mostly points out about the women and children are suffering the most. One of the quotes in the article is “It will be the most vulnerable who will pay the heaviest price, with women, children, and the elderly in Idlib unlikely to be able to move to safety,” ( World Vision N.D.) This article is does not show critical thinking skills it is bias and want the reader to feel bad for the children and women because most people have more sympathy towards children and women and will donate to their cause.
