Throughout Mêlée’s journey to fight segregation, her grandmother and faith n God were her greatest weapons. In 1 957, Melba Poetical was extensionally and preparing for her integration I to Little Rock Central High School, an all white school. Melba was becoming discouraged and was realizing that integration was far more difficult t than she originally thought, yet she still had a strong faith in the Lord and asked for his help, knowing that he will provide for her. From falling down, she ends up getting scraped up and, more and more students SST rated to taunt her, she gets up and runs inside the school hoping to find the office.
